The color schemes looks so very familiar...
Tony @ Oct 24th 2007 1:56AM
Yes, they must have been stolen from Crayola!
David @ Oct 24th 2007 2:06AM
You mean Apple?
(The Shuffless?)
Anyways it looks so ugly....I mean it's thick!

Finally camera manufacturers are beginning to see the light by including a good amount of on board storage.
michas_pi @ Oct 24th 2007 6:56AM
Tell me about it. My old Kodak digi-cam had thirty-two megabytes of on-board storeage. When I took a picture at the highest quality and resolution I could take four pictures. Ugh.

I thought Sony already ran out of all the numbers to put after the letter T? Seriously, they seem to come out with a new T series camera weekly.

That's not bad! The inclusion of the 4gb memory card is interesting because it removes the philosophical decision (for some) of whether to Memorystick or not to Memorystick. After all if you can buy 4gb of memory for $40 at retail, I'm sure a manufacturer can get it for less in volume :)
The battery life is not bad either at 280 CIPA for a fashionably small camera.
chris fredette @ Oct 24th 2007 10:26AM
no it doesn't. I will only buy a Sorny when it is SD. The last thing I need is another memory format. Memory sticks are redundant and unneeded.
shaliron @ Oct 24th 2007 6:57AM
But then again, you lose the ability to use card readers (which are normally much faster than the USB cables that the cameras use).
Jon @ Oct 24th 2007 3:06PM
Good point. I love the ability that I can easily remove a memory card and back em up or view them on the telly through a PS3 or Wii.
Personally I think it is great that there is a product with a large enough internal storage as well as external support where a person like me would use the internal storage only once the external card is filled.

It has a touchscreen? Well thank goodness it's got a viewfinder, 'cos if you take it out in bright sunlight you won't be able to use the LCD screen as it'll be covered in fingerprints!
Matt @ Oct 24th 2007 7:23AM
I'm not seeing a viewfinder... good point though, i didnt think of the smudges at first... that'd get so freaking annoying...
Tony @ Oct 24th 2007 12:27PM
I have a Sony camera with a touch screen, no viewfinder.
It works fine, and in sunlight I can view the LCD perfectly. I don't get any finger prints at all on the actually screen.
ramond @ Oct 24th 2007 9:01AM
Wrong because they expect you to use the stlyus which comes with it and attaches to the strap. A friggin stlyus!?!?!?!
chris fredette @ Oct 24th 2007 10:26AM
Agreed, lame.
Also, why can't people use the same tech as the iphone now? Does apple have those screens locked up or something?
hcchen @ Oct 24th 2007 9:39AM
1/2.5" CCD這個哪裡好了啊 這麼小的CCD 大概只有1/2.7" CCD比他還小了吧
1/2.4" CCD都比他大

That's why I wrote "(for some)" :-) Hopefully the remaining non-SD manufacturers will follow Fuji's lead and offer dual SD/proprietary memory card slots until they eventually phase them out.
chris fredette @ Oct 24th 2007 11:54AM
Also, does that camera have a standard mini USB port? Didn't see that and would be a deal breaker. Did I mention Canon's are way better that sony's? I have several relatives with 5MP Sony's that take pictures that hurt my eye's.
Barton Smith @ Oct 25th 2007 2:08AM
wow that just confuses their product names... they went ...T9, T10... T40 now way back to T2... odd
Kunal @ Oct 25th 2007 4:21PM
t40, then t100, then t200 and now t2. I think t3 is still to be taken. t3 should be 8gb storage!

Why don't you guys wait till it comes out and test it before making silly conclusions. I actually know a lot about this camera. Its got Smile Shutter, Face Detection, and using your finger u can actually choose who/what you want to focus on. Its even got an ability to add more bokeh(blur) to the background to make it look more professional, as if shot with an F/1.4 lens.
And you can even draw on top of the images you take using the stylus. Anyway, give it a chance its actually NOT very thick at all and its diff. then many of the T series since the lens does not protrude out. Agreed, I did not like many of the other T series cameras. But this one I think is very special.
