I would also appreciate it, if somebody could tell us how much electricity digital photo frames use.

As for the screen lifetime: I would not so much worry about the screen. They are usually of good quality and are also used in other products. Before the screen will be broken, the remote is broken. Usually, the remote control is really sh... Just look at the picture. That's the cheapest, standard remote control for digital picture frames. Better learn from the beginning how to use the frame without remote, you sooner or later will need it.
