It's wierd that you mention that the camera had no set release date and the price to be around $500+. But i bought the same camera (7.2 MP, 3x optical, with anti-shake) from Costco on November of 2006 and the price was $199. The camera is black and is the exact same camera that is displayed in the picture. The camera has been good and the picture quality is livable, but one of my friend's canon 6MP camera take way crispier pictures than my Exilim.
