wow, i knew Fuji was working on the S5700, after they stopped production of the S5600, as a S5600 user, i belive they have made changes to the Auto mode on this camera which is bad at determining the correct white balance for the picture. If they have increased the EVF resolution then it will be beter working with manual focus.SD is a cheaper option to XD though XD's are faster than SD's as serial speeds increase, we might see a total phase out of XD's and CF's and transflash cards.27MB internal memory is a plus, atleast you can test shots without inserting an XD card and will save Fuji from the shame of providing a 16.00 Mb XD card which i belive are more expensive to produce because they have to be custom built.i will wait for it get as cheap as the S5600 and i just, i mean just might buy it too.
hey. im new to photography and saw a package with the s5700 which im thinking of buying today. but i was wondering how versatile the manual settings are? i imagian they will be simular to the 5600?
Hi dusty, the manual settings are pretty cool on the S5600, its not hard to use, i use the apperture priority mode most of the times, that gives you control over white balance, keeping the exposure auto. its not difficult to use, but takes time getting used to. if you need to see what the pictures from this camera might look like, do a camera search on www.flickr.com
