Speed, speed speed. The Giga Vu model takes nearly twice as long to offload a card as the Nexto and Compactdrive. A 4GB card takes about 4 to 6 mins with the Nexto and CD and about 8+ depending on what kind of card you use.

That's fine for some peoples needs, but the Nexto and CD cater to a different kind of market where photogs need to just shoot shoot shoot without delays.

Plus with just that little grey screen, you dont have to worry about the screen getting scratched and such when you're out at a Structure or Brush fire, or hiking in Nepal, or whatever it is where ever you go.
