NextoDI's NextoCF Ultra ND2525: "world's fastest" storage device for photogs

If you've been looking for an ultra-fast personal storage device to offload your DSLR images on the quick then check it photog, NextoDI has the device for you. The Nexto CF Ultra ND2525 is capable of a sustained 20MB/sec backup from Compact Flash cards hitting a max speed of 32MB/sec. That's more than 1GB of data per minute off the fastest CF cards. There's even a bit-by-bit verification implemented at the hardware level; that feature, however, will double your transfer times -- a sacrifice many professionals will happily trade for added peace of mind. The device then hooks up to your PC or Mac via USB 2.0 or Firewire for any required post-processing. The internal Li-Poly battery is capable of transferring up to 40GB (about 42 minutes) before giving up the ghost, and can be recharged in about 3-hours off the mains or 4.5-hours over USB -- an external 70GB capable battery is also available. Ok, it doesn't feature a display like the PSDs from Canon, Epson, and others, but how important is that sub-4-inch display if you're toting a laptop anyway? The ND2525 only has a single CF slot which can be augmented with a 17-to-1 CF adapter. It's apparently already loosed in Korea for 198,000KRW ($213) in a BYOD (bring your own disk) chassis or in 395,000KRW ($425) config with a 160GB disk baked in. Given our druthers, we'd bung the fastest 7200rpm PATA (not SATA, unfortunately) disk into the empty chassis for max performance, but that's us... and we're afraid of robots.

I've used the original Nexto CF for about the last 5 months and it's totally great - infact, it's on my belt now (it comes in a very cool leather belt case) as I've been out photographing Covent Garden for the last couple of hours...
The CF was already lightning fast at dumping my 5D's huge RAW files (ok, not quite as big as a P45's RAW files, but still quite big!), so that they have improved the speed can only be a good thing.... The only issue I'd say with the original CF is the battery life could be a little better, oh, and at night I wish the screen was backlit... Maybe they'll have improved that...
And re: the screen, it's not THAT big a deal really. I'm sitting in the cafe now and I will plug the CF into my Powerbook with the FireWire 400 cable and check the photos out and prune them directly on the drive using Lightroom... It's so fast you don't need to download the photos to your hard drive to work on them.
Great things come from this company..

To all those non-photographers, the term "photog" is short hand for "photographer" - which if you're typing it often on photography forums it saves a lot of time!

I might have to look into this again, but the reason I went with the PD70x was the fact it took AA's and didn't need an adapter for SD cards. When gone from civilization for a while, its nice to have something that takes AA's.

Come on! Greyscale LCD! Try the Jobo GigaVu Evolution! ( http://www.jobo.com/jobo_digital/giga_vu_pro_evolution/ ) is kicks ass over this, has a beatiful color screen, better battery life, and can receive the images wirelessly from the camera. This product you're showing is SO 80's!

Speed, speed speed. The Giga Vu model takes nearly twice as long to offload a card as the Nexto and Compactdrive. A 4GB card takes about 4 to 6 mins with the Nexto and CD and about 8+ depending on what kind of card you use.
That's fine for some peoples needs, but the Nexto and CD cater to a different kind of market where photogs need to just shoot shoot shoot without delays.
Plus with just that little grey screen, you dont have to worry about the screen getting scratched and such when you're out at a Structure or Brush fire, or hiking in Nepal, or whatever it is where ever you go.

I used this for six weeks in the nepali himalaya during the monsoon with two external batteries. Very wet there - kept it in a ziplock. So fast that I filled 30 GB without touching the second external battery. Highly recommended.

I have had the Orginal Nexto for almost 2 years now, The only thing I can say it is the best photo storage for Photographers, Who needs a big as battery draining screen. Mine is almost 2 years and the battery is not that good anymore, I got in touch with the company I bought it from and they said it was no problem to get a new battery online, as it uses just a regular cell phone lithium battery. Thats one reason for the light weight of the unit. It does take just over a minute to empty a 1GB card and it is great if you have a lot of Photos to shoot. The USB and the Firewire 600 options are great, as well how you charge it, in normal shocked or in your car, the adapter is included in the package. I highly recomend this product.

It seems to me it is one of the best image storage in the market.
I would like to know where could I buy that device?
